On May 5 2024, the NTA Agency successfully conducted the NEET 2024 examination at all the designated centres in the country. This year, about 20 lakh+ students appeared in this examination in 557 cities of the country. NEET Exam Details 2024
The NEET 2024 exam question paper conducted through offline mode had two sections – A and B. There were a total of 50 questions in both these sections, out of which 35 questions were in Section A and 15 questions were in Section B.
All students needed to attempt all the questions in Section A, while in Section B, it was mandatory for the student to attempt 10 out of 15 questions.
All the questions in the NEET 2024 exam question paper were in multiple-choice form, for which there were a total of 720 marks; that is, four marks were fixed for each question. There is also a provision for a negative marking in the exam.
NEET UG Answer Key Objection Process
The NTA has released the provisional NEET UG 2024 answer key for the question paper of the examination held on May 5 on the official website – neet.nta.nic.in. Students who want to raise objections to the questions can do so with appropriate facts. The agency has set a time limit for claiming objections.
Hence, the students who have to claim for objection should file the objection within the time limit by making appropriate payment. If the objections you lodged are found to be correct, the agency will re-examine the questions and carry out the rectification process.
NEET Cut Off 2024
Students who want to be admitted to medical courses in India have to score more than the minimum cut-off set by the agency. Your exam score determines whether you are eligible for admission to these medical courses or not.

The agency sets different minimum marks for different categories every year depending on the level of question paper and the number of students appearing in the examination. On the basis of these marks, a merit list is released, and the admission process is conducted.
NEET UG Cut Off 2024 Merit List & Counselling
On the basis of the marks obtained by all the students appearing in the NEET exam 2024, the authority prepares the merit list of the students, in which the names of all the students are included on the basis of rank and the marks obtained by them.
The authority will invite eligible students for counselling on the basis of this merit list. Students who want to register their names in the counselling process will have to pay the appropriate registration fee.
Under the counselling process, students will be provided courses and colleges on the basis of their rank and marks. Any student can choose the course and college of their choice. After being allotted the college, the student will have to report to the allotted institutions and complete the admission process.
