Benefits of Odisha Kalia Yojana 2024

• The implementation of this scheme is primarily benefiting the state’s farmers economically.
• Through the Kalia yojana, the state provides financial assistance of 25,000 rupees per fiscal year to poor and middle-class farmers, making it easier for them to invest in essential agricultural expenses such as seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, labor, and so on.
• Those who do not have land are also provided the benefit of this scheme. Therefore, any citizen engaged in agricultural-related businesses such as goat farming, mushroom cultivation, beekeeping, kit for fishermen, duck farming, etc., is provided assistance of Rs. 12,500 annually under this scheme.
• Under this scheme, financial assistance is also provided to those landless citizens who fall into categories such as laborers, disabled, elderly, sick, etc. It is noted that these people are provided with Rs. 10,000 per year.
