The KVS Admission for academic session 2024-25 started this year. The school run under the government administration follows a strict procedure for seeking admission. The admission process began from April 1, 2024, for classes first to twelfth except for class tenth.

1 KVS Admission 2024-25

Kendra Vidyalaya is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education. The school is under the control of central government and the admission process is quite complicated as only selected students can get admissions. The admissions for the academic year 2024-25 for class first to twelfth commenced from April 1, 2024. Moreover, the date to apply for admission to class 1st is April 15, 2024, at 11 a.m. The KVS admission process for 1st grade will end on April 15, 2024, at 5 p.m.

Also, offline admission has started for class 2nd to 12th (except 10th class) from April 1, 2024. Moreover, the admission concluded on April 10, 2024. The admission started in all the branches (1254 branches) of KV around the country.

Documents Required for KVS Admission 2024-25

The official website of Kendra Vidyalaya suggested some documents that you must keep ready with yourself while applying for grade 1 admission. These documents include:

A valid email and mobile number (having Indian SIM)
Scanned copy of birth certificate of the child (maximum size 256 KB)
Scanned photograph or digital photograph of the kid (maximum size 256 KB)
Parents transfer details.
Authentic document in case you are categorized under the EWS category.

Age Limit for KVS Admission 2024-25

The government has issued a notification on the age bar of the child who is seeking admission. Children applying for class 1 and 2 should be between 6–8 years. Children taking admission in class 3 should be 7-9, for class 4, they should be 8-10, for class 5, age should be 9-11, for class 6, they should be 10-12, for class 7, they should be 11-13, for class 8, they should be 12-14, and for class 9, they should be 13-15.

There are no age restrictions for students seeking KVS admission to classes on 11th and 12th, but they should have to continue their studies after 10th and 11th.

Steps to apply for Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission 2024

Those who have not filled the admission forms for class 1, can go to the portal and fill in the form before April 15, 2024. Moreover, KVS admission for classes above 1st has been closed. Here you can check the procedure of applying:

Visit the website of KV, kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in.
Select the new registration option. A page will appear, read all the instructions carefully.
Enter all details of children, parents, mobile phone, email address, etc. Also, add the necessary documents.
You have to verify by entering a captcha code and submitting the form.
For further verification, an OTP will be sent to the given mobile number. Enter the OTP.
Your registration process is complete.

Kindly wait for the application submission code which is sent to the registered email address. Then only your form will be considered submitted. People can only apply for admission till the last date. After that, no admissions will be made.

Seats for the Reserved Category

The government reserves the seats for the backward section of society. There are 40 seats in each class and in every class, seats are reserved for deprived sections. There are 15% of seats reserved for SC, 7.5% for ST, 27% for OBC, and 3% for physically challenged students.
